Research Outline
We developed a multi-robot telecommunication system that allows an operator to conduct conversations through a primary robot while simultaneously controlling a secondary robot (a bystander participant robot) to support the dialogue independently. Using this system, we experimentally created situations where the operator was prompted to ask inappropriate or impolite questions. The results demonstrated that the use of this system contributed to reducing the operator's sense of guilt and improving their overall mood, thereby enhancing their ability to support the conversation.
